Colorado Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody or release, provide or remove a booking photo, post bond, or retrieve an official record. Contact the agency or court that holds the source.
Where Colorado Record Requests Go
The correct office depends on the record and the point in the case. A city may make the arrest, a county or contract jail may handle booking, and a court later records the disposition. Colorado Busted Mugshots does not receive official files or speak for those agencies.
- County arrest or booking: choose the likely county in the Colorado County Directory. Its local site identifies official rosters, booking feeds, and records routes.
- Booking sheet or photo: the statewide records page explains a person-specific CCJRA request and what details help the custodian find the record.
- State corrections profile: search the CDOC Offender Search. For a corrections record request, use the department’s official records request route.
- Court outcome: locate the case with the Colorado Judicial Branch Docket Search, then request the judgment or disposition from the court holding the file.
- Federal custody: use the BOP Inmate Locator for people in federal prison custody. It does not publish public mugshots.
- Immigration detention: the ICE Online Detainee Locator covers adult immigration custody. It is not a criminal court or county jail record.
- Historical records: ask the Colorado State Archives about a collection, call number, scan, or copy request.
A city arrest may be booked in a different county or receiving jail. If an online search comes up empty, ask the arresting agency where the person was booked before sending a request to another custodian.
Wanted Notices and Safety Tips
For a wanted notice, use the tip route printed on the current official CBI, CDOC, or U.S. Marshals page. Do not send a tip to this site, approach the person, or post a location publicly. Call 911 if there is an immediate emergency. A wanted entry is an enforcement notice, not a conviction or a custody result.
For a possible warrant involving you, contact a lawyer or the court or agency named in the case. A public docket can help locate a case number, but it may not show a complete live warrant status.
